IT MAY INCLUDE FLOOR WORK ON MATS (PROVIDED), WEIGHT TRAINING, AND MORE...+ FINISH IT OFF WITH CALORIE BURNING ZUMBA® FUN!
***TIRED OF HAULING AROUND EXTRA WEIGHT? YOU CAN TAKE STEPS NOW TO BURN IT OFF!***
It will take some determination, but won't it be worth it to shed some unwanted body fat and build some lean, toned muscle? All you need is the "WANT TO", the KEYS to reaching your goals, and APPLY WHAT YOU HAVE LEARNED! It doesn't take six hours a day in the gym, as some people suppose. Just a half hour to one hour of resistance training three non-consecutive days a week, 20 minutes of moderately intense-intense interval cardiovascular exercise (walking, biking, running, swimming, etc) at least three days/week, and eating clean six days/week and you will be amazed at the changes YOU can make, not only in how you look, but in your overall health!
***Jess Crow and Shelly Snow are now licensed to teach Zumbatomic® classes after attending training in Olive Branch, Mississippi in March. We hope to add classes for children ages 4-7 and 8-12 as soon as we master the choreography. We will most likely offer sessions lasting six weeks each on a first come-first served basis. Come to our website often for updates to these exciting new classes for children!***
We would like to thank our members for helping keep the facility a family-friendly place to work out. A word of encouragement to you GUYS - please help the ladies out by putting your weights back on the racks after you use them. We have older adults who aren't as strong as you or have physical conditions such as arthritis, and it would be a big help...to others who aren't as strong, and to you - just a little extra work on those big guns!

HEALTHWAYS SILVERSNEAKERS® FITNESS CLASSES
We offer the Healthways SilverSneakers® Fitness Program at our facility, and welcome those eligible for this program to come and see what FitnessWorx has to offer. Below are the two classes we currently offer our members. The MSROM class is held every Tuesday and Thursday morning at 9:00, and Cardio Circuit is held every Wednesday morning at 9:00.
SilverSneakers – Muscular Strength & Range of Movement
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.
SilverSneakers – Cardio Circuit
Combine fun and fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper-body strength work using hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball is alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is offered for support, head-to-toe stretching, and complete relaxation in a comfortable position.
2004 Body-for-Life Grand Champion, personal trainer, and coach, Garry is also an instructor for the Healthways SilverSneaker fitness program. Garry's previous profession was as the director of a hospital's Cardio-pulmonary department . He finds that as a fitness professional, he is able to help people BEFORE their health has declined into a condition of chronic disease.
Shelly Snow- Owner
After being a housewife and the mother of seven for twenty-six years, Shelly entered the fitness business. She has been the owner of FitnessWorx for TWELVE years, and at the age of fify-two, became a SilverSneaker and Zumba Fitness instructor. She loves to help people reach their fitness goals by engaging in a resistance training, cardiovascular, and healthful nutrition program.
